The rules of the road.

By using BoldStep you agree to these terms. Please read them — they are written to be understood, not to obscure.

Who we are

BoldStep is a dating confidence training app based in England. References to "BoldStep", "we", "us" or "our" in these terms refer to us. "You" means any person accessing or using BoldStep.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use BoldStep. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement. We may terminate accounts where we have reason to believe this is not the case.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your account. Each person may hold one account. Accounts created to circumvent a ban will be permanently removed.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Account deletion removes your BoldStep data, but it does not cancel an active Apple subscription. If you have an active subscription, manage or cancel it through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use BoldStep to:

  • Harass, threaten, or harm any person
  • Post content that identifies, describes, or discusses specific real individuals without their consent
  • Share content that is hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit
  • Promote pick-up artist techniques, manipulation, or any approach that disregards consent
  • Attempt to access or interfere with our systems, infrastructure, or other users' data
  • Create fake accounts or impersonate other people
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from BoldStep without permission

Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, or account termination.

Subscriptions and payments

BoldStep Bold is currently included free during early access while the community grows. We may introduce or reintroduce paid Bold plans later, and we will give notice before material access or pricing changes take effect.

Future Apple In-App Purchase plans

If paid plans are available, iOS subscriptions are purchased and processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. BoldStep does not receive or store your card details.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings. If you cancel, you keep Bold access until the end of the paid period.

Refunds

Refund requests for Apple In-App Purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's App Store policies. To request a refund, use Apple's purchase support at reportaproblem.apple.com. You can still contact us if you need help understanding your BoldStep account or subscription status.

Restore purchases

If you reinstall the app or switch devices, use Restore Purchases in the app to refresh access from the Apple ID used for purchase.

Your content

You own the content you post to BoldStep. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content within the app. We do not claim ownership of your posts.

You are responsible for ensuring your posts comply with our Community Guidelines and these terms. We may remove content that violates either without notice.

Other users may report community posts. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts where appropriate.

Our content

The BoldStep app, challenges, design, and all content we have created remain our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Service availability

We aim to keep BoldStep available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruption.

Limitation of liability

BoldStep is a confidence training app. It is not a substitute for professional mental health support. To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of BoldStep.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email before they take effect. Continued use of BoldStep after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
